College Transfer Advising (Last Name I - K)
Edgecombe Community College offers several college-transfer degrees: Associate in Arts (AA), Associate in Science (AS), Associate in Fine Arts (AFA), and Associate in Science Pre-engineering (AS-PE). On the ECC Web site under Academic Programs, look for specific information about each of these degrees in the College Transfer section.

I primarily advise AA students. Ideally, students should register for classes during the pre-registration period—typically a two-week period in the latter half of the semester prior to the semester for which registration is required.

Prior to scheduling an appointment with an advisor, students should review course offerings for the upcoming semester, align desired courses with degree-appropriate courses, and set up a draft schedule. This truly makes the registration appointment more effective.

After meeting with an advisor to approve course selection, students can either register online through Web Advisor or have their advisor register them. If you are in my office meeting with me and we decide on a schedule and time permits, I will generally register you on the spot.

Registration for Summer Session 2012
Registration for summer session will be announced through Student Services. If you will complete your degree within the next two semesters, be sure to take the Career Readiness Credentials assessment this semester. Ideally, you will complete it prior to registration for your last semester.

Students should sign up for an advising appointment each semester. My appointment schedule is generally posted at least one week prior to early registration on my office window. Please come prepared with a mapped-out schedule and at least two alternate classes.
